What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Clinical Hypnotherapy is not stage Hypnosis.  It is not some form of magic pill or quick fix either. It requires that a client be committed to change and prepared to make the effort to make that change a reality. 

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a well researched approach to therapy which is widely used today in many clinical settings by many health care professionals. 

Hypnosis is a different state of consciousness which you can naturally enter so that, for therapeutic purposes, beneficial corrections may be given directly to the unconscious mind. In this way, hypnosis is an effective way of making contact with the inner(unconscious)self, which is both a reservoir of unrecognised potential and knowledge as well as being the unwitting source of many of our problems.

Hypnotherapy can be used for many psychological and behavioural issues. 

Hypnosis can be used to build confidence and self-esteem.

It can be used to reduce anxiety and symptoms of depression. 

I have treated people with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), weight management, eating disorders and  anger management. 

I have treated people with past childhood traumatic experiences and phobias - like going to the dentist, and insects phobias, among others.

All my interventions have been very successful.

I offer Online Zoom sessions if clients live too far away to visit me in person, or have mobility issues. Online sessions are held with total confidentiality and privacy as they would with an in person session.

There would initially be a free 20 to 30 minute getting to meet you consultation where there would be brief discussion about what brings the client to seek hypnotherapy as an intervention. I would then let the client know how many sessions they would need to attend to have the most effect on their issues. Sessions start at £50 for a full 1 hour consultation, then can go up to £80 which includes a recording of the clients finished hypnotherapy intervention.
